Key Biscayne Community Church
CAMP KEYAMEJEGO March 9 - 10, 2001
The Key Biscayne Community Church recently
spent a night under the stars on their property for a God's World
Camping Adventure that they called Camp Keyamejego (that is, KEY
Biscayne And ME, JEsus and GOd).
The campers spent time together appreciating
all God has given us in this beautiful world, recognizing His great love
for us.
Tents were set up around
the cross during the campout.
There was a scavenger hunt, a telescope
to look at the craters on the full moon, a cookout, roasted marshmallows,
joketime, and music. A game of "GoodWord Tag" was played - one person
tags another and says a good word, like "honesty", or "faith", etc, then
two people are it and tag others. They tried to spread the good words
as fast as possible! A posterboard was filled as each person wrote
a question to God, such as "Who is your dad?"and "Did you like homework?".
Rev. Bud, pastor of the Key Biscayne Community
Church, spoke about God giving us dominion over the earth and how we are
the caretakers of the earth.
It didn't seem like so soon after lights
out that Key Biscayne's own Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Bill Bristol, arrived
and roused the sleepy campers at 7am with "The Revelrie".
Certainly an experience to remember with
some valuable lessons!
