| No Name Harbor has served as a refuge for pirates, smugglers, and sailors, manatee and dolphin, fishes and tropical birds, and was a major rookery and feeding area in the 1800s for flamingo, egrets, herons and ibis, and other wildlife. As native vegetation and wetlands, previously destroyed by developers who cleared and filled the tract during the 1950s, and by Hurricane Andrew, and restored, the animal population is returning. | ![]() |
