Crandon Park Beach on Key Biscayne as seen from the water.  In fact the picture seen on the left is about as close as a small vessel can come to the shoreline as there is a sandbar that extends from the shoreline to this point.  In other words, one could, at low tide walk to this point without getting water over their knees.  A nice bike ride from the Village of Key Biscayne, Crandon Park Beach is full of places to have a rest and reflect on the every changing beauty of nature.
Beach sand, perfect temperatures, crystal clear waters of the Atlantic ocean make Crandon Beach one of the greatest beaches anywhere for all the right reasons.  As would be expected, the shade spots get filled up pretty quickly but since the beach is so massive, at the height of the sun and fun season, there is still plenty of room to be alone in the middle of it all.  If you don't want to be bothered to go get an Ice Cream at the Cafe, they will bring it to you where you are sitting.  Nice.
Every great beach has a boardwalk and Crandon Beach is no exception. There is a road perfect for bike riding, rollerblading, skating, jogging, or walking with a spectacular view.  If you were to have enough people for a soccer game, there is a bike race track with enough space in the middle for a couple of soccer games going at once.  Some of us, at one time or another have used this area for kite flying and for tests of home made rockets and radio planes.
