This is what a swim marker looks like
from the boat. It is actually a bird rest room but they had to write
something on it or nobody would agree to be taxed to pay for bird restrooms.
The picture on the right is on a stormy day at the Northern end of Crandon
taken with a long lens so that if you look closely, you can see the Cape
Florida Lighthouse in the middle-right of the horizon (it is white)
in between the trees. The beach walk from here to the lighthouse
would be about 5 miles.

The sign says it all. A Sea
Turtle Hatchery located right where the female turtles shuffle up the beach,
dig a massive hole in the sand and lay their eggs. Months later,
little tiny turtles make their way back to the sea to be immediately eaten
by a hungry Red Snapper. This hatchery is located where there is
little light at night since they hatch at night and find their way to the
ocean by the light and reflection of the moon on the Atlantic Ocean.

Classic Crandon on the left and on
the right. Little pockets of umbrellas for families and couples spring
up as they move in for a day or afternoon of fun and relaxation while from
the photo on the right you can clearly see a few things. 1.) A crashed
out man drooling into a towel. 2.) His date wondering how her tan is coming
along and why she is with a towel drooler..3.) A patch sunburned
tourist who has not learned how to put on sunscreen evenly 4.) A
little kid having a blast in the water.
Happens every day here.
