Crandon Beach - Key Biscayne Florida

As the sun sets on Crandon Beach every day, the spectacular view changes with the seasons.  Seagrape trees actually do drop their leaves seasonally, but of course not all of them.  For roller blading and bike riding on the Crandon Beach access road right along the beach, it is a very special experience.  Ride, bike, jog, walk, scoot, skateboard past palm trees, the breeze of the Atlantic Ocean, and the smell of warm sand mixing with tropical tanning oils.
The picture on the left shows the middle of Crandon Park Beach from a Lifeguard stand at sunset at low tide.
You can see how the sandbar joins the shoreline so that a person is able to walk right out into the sea.
The path on the right shows the foresight of the founding fathers of the park by getting people close to the beach as was practical without burning the bottom of their feet.
There are all things wet and dry to do here at the Crandon Park Beach. Skim boarding, swimming, floating around, swim with a mask and snorkel or just share some quality time with friends old and new.
The water is clear and clean, the miles of sand offer plenty of space for everyone to play ball, fly a kite, or just play in the sand.
Sand and sea.
Sunny days, and star filled nights with the most awesome moonrises.
