Crandon Beach - Key Biscayne Florida

The sand flats at Crandon Park Beach on Key Biscayne are notorious for their size and scope.  During low tide, miles  of sand exposes itself to the air and sunlight and it is very interesting to walk along and see what the Atlantic Ocean washed up over the past few hours.  During high tide, it is a naturally beautiful to wade and play in the water without fear of stepping on rocks.  The Osprey Beach Trail is a walk through the natural habitat of the Key Biscayner.
Palm trees of all varieties dot the landscape of Crandon Beach and it is a natural wonder how these trees can grow and thrive in the sand of the beach.  They not only provide much needed shade at times when running accross the hot sand but are also native to the region and are nearly synonomous with the idea of a beach.
The bunch of trees on the right is called a Hammock of trees.  It stands to reason the only thing missing in this picture is a  hammock in the hammock.
Naturally, people come to the beaches to play, and play they do.  Key Biscayne is known for Crandon Park and the Crandon Park beaches and is often used for film shoots,  model shoots, wedding pictures, family pictures and just picture pictures.
There is a natural refraction of light that takes place about an hour before sunset that provides optimal lighting for just about any picture.
