Crandon Beach - Key Biscayne Florida

The moon rising over the Atlantic Ocean at Crandon Park Beach is always new and beautiful reminding one of the reasons to live here that run through the mind like an endless list of senses that are better left unspoken.
The original Indian name for Key Biscayne in the Tequestan Indian language translated to "favorite path of the rising moon".
It all seems to make perfect sense.
The Beach side Cafe coming back to headquarters to reprovision supplies and to make sure that the hot dogs and hamburgers are hot and the Ice Cream and drinks are served cold.  You may need to spend a little bit more time looking at the sand and not swimming in the sea when you see this warning sign at the lifeguard stand.  Don't risk it. It is not worth getting wet.  Just take a shower if you get too hot.  Man o War and Jellyfish sting. Big Time.
The cabanas at Crandon Park Beach are right on the beach and you can reserve one for the day or for the week. Call Crandon Park at 305.361.5421
The lifeguard stand at the right is the last lifeguard stand in the Northernmost part of Crandon Park Beach on Key Biscayne.  You can clearly see the sand flats and grass beds. The nature center is located within 100 feet of this spot and you can tour the area on an Ecotour by clicking here.
