"No Name Harbor" fee based anchorage

There is an overnight anchorage fee of $15.00, and a day use fee of $2.00 just as all of the cruising guides will tell you.
It will be necessary for you to use the honor system blue envelopes and the pay stations that are located along the shore
where you will pay your fees.  Be honorable or be embarassed as you are ticketed in front of everyone in the resturant
and all of the other boaters who were honorable and paid their fees.  This is checked, so heads up.

Write the name of your vessel on the blue envelope before depositing.

ALWAYS REMEMBER to keep your receipt and carry it with you wherever you go if you plan to leave the Park
and return within the time span for which you have paid or the Park Rangers will require you to pay again at the
Park entrance.  Also, you can count on this, boaters may be periodically visited by park rangers checking receipts.

Here are some facts about the 'No Name Harbor' anchorage that many cruising guides leave out that are of interest
to boaters:

The anchorage fee entitles you to full use of the park facilities while it is open ( 8 AM - Sunset ), and that
includes the lighthouse tour, at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.

Dinghy dockage is provided at any of the ladders along the seawall.
Trash disposal is provided at  any of the cans located along the seawall.
Pump-out of holding tanks is free.

Public restrooms are located throughout the park, with the harbor restrooms located (towards the south of the harbor)
at the pavillion near the harbor entrance.

Local shopping is an spproximately one mile walk from the Harbor, located on the same road as the Park entrance.
Outside of the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, the road becomes Crandon Boulevard.  You will easily find the
grocery stores, the Post Office, several banks, Pharmacies, Hardware store, the Library ( complete with
computers with Internet Access), a few gift shops, and several resturants to choose from.

VERY IMPORTANT - The Park closes at dusk.  BE SURE you return EARLY or you will be LOCKED OUT!

There are two restaurants in the park, one on the beachfront overlooking the lighthouse and the Atlantic Ocean,
and one here overlooking 'No Name Harbor'.

The land and water here in the park is beautiful with biking and hiking trails that are great to explore.  There
is abundant native wildlife in and out of the water.  Dolphins and manatees visit the harbor almost every day.
Many birds also visit the park along their migratory trips.  Fine sights.

Snorkeling along the Atlantic Ocean  (beach side) of the park along the healthy sea-grass beds will provide a
glimpse of many types of fish, starfish, sea urchins, rays, and even the occassional lobster.
EVERYTHING WITHIN THE PARK BOUNDARIES is PROTECTED so collecting is prohibited.

Public transportation is available just outside of the park entrance.  The  buses are safe, clean, and economical
and can take one anywhere in the Miami/Ft.Lauderdale area.  Local bus routes and maps along with the main
hub maps are located at the 'No Name Harbor' kiosk.  Park Rangers can also assist you with information.
