| Key Biscayne came out to vote today.
In what looks like record numbers, it should because never before has Key
Biscayne had so many people calling the Island "home".
Lines are the norm around here, and most of us are used to waiting to get onto the Island on weekends, getting off the Island when there is a film shoot on the bridge, and of course buying groceries at our one and only grocery store. Today is different. Today it is about the future of our country and of course our local Government. Only in America. |

| Challenger for the Key Biscayne Mayor's
position Carol Castro is seen here waving to us as she is refeuling with
some emergency Cuban Coffee.
Her driver and passenger seem to be eager to get back to the front lines to wave signs, shake hands and kiss babies. All in all, the Key Biscayne elections have been civil and well run. The lines that are not typical, were today. One of our staff was in line at the Presbyterian Church for just over 3 hours. An update at 6:30 PM.... Lines are longer than at any time during the day. Voters will be in line until at least 10 o'clock tonight. |
