What does all of this mean? According to the wisdom of our founders, we will now have a runoff for the remaining Council seats.
A candidate must have half of the votes plus one to avoid a runoff. Depending on the vote count, Liedman may have a seat as well.
If so, then a runoff (total votes including absentees) will be between Garcia (1,834), Thornton (1,561), Padovan (1,396), and Annika-Tarajano (1,290)
for the remaining two seats. If Liedman must take part in the runoff, then Davey (1,262) will be included for a three seat runoff.
