A Message to Residents of Key Biscayne from Richard Gregorie, Candidate for Mayor of Key Biscayne

Key Biscayne Neighbor,
I'm flattered and encouraged by the overwhelming support I received from so many of you on election day. The final run-off election for Mayor of Key Biscayne will be held Nov. 19, 2002 and I will need your support more than ever for the run-off election. Please go out to vote Nov. 19 and bring five of your neighbors to the polls, too!
Early voting is available now. If you don't think you can make it to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 19, you can vote by absentee ballot IN PERSON Monday, Nov. 18 at the Miami-Dade Elections Department, 19th Floor, Stephen P. Clark Center Government Center, 111 NW 1 St, downtown Miami. Bring a picture ID.
Absentee Ballots can be returned in person before the election. If you just received an absentee ballot and are concerned it won't get to the election office by election day if mailed, you have the option of returning the ballot personally through election day Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Miami-Dade Elections Department, 19th Floor, Stephen P. Clark Center Government Center, 111 NW 1 St, downtown Miami through Monday, Nov. 18. On Election Day, you can also return your absentee ballot to the Clerk's office on Key Biscayne, Office of Conchita Suarez, 85 W. McIntyre St., (second floor of the old Sun Trust building).

My campaign is about discussing real issues and finding fair solutions for this beautiful island community of Key Biscayne, which has been home to my family for the past 20 years. As you know, I have been active in Village of Key Biscayne civic affairs since its inception. I served on the committee that established the Village of Key Biscayne Police Department and on the search committee to pick the first police chief. I worked with the Village's first council members to familiarize them with the Florida Sunshine Law. Most recently, I helped lead the successful effort by residents to establish a limit on government debt in the Village Charter.
As Mayor, I will seek to bring this community together by assuring we have a government that is open and fair and welcoming of resident's ideas and service. As Mayor, my goal is to return a level of trust and confidence in our Village government, so that residents feel comfortable knowing their government works for them and their tax dollars are used efficiently and effectively to meet the basic needs of our community.
