Key Biscayne gets an A PLUS grade from Standard & Poors

Reflecting the financial strength and the stability of the municipality of Key Biscayne is reflected by the granting of a grade of A Plus by Standard & Poor's which is yet another high rating for Key Biscayne.  Just last week, Moody's Investors Service issued an A3a to the Island Paradise.  This is great news and only confirms that the Key is as stable and secure as it is beautiful.  The A plus grade that was issued by Standard & Poor's indicates that the Village of Key Biscayne's fund portfolio holdings provides strong and ample protection against any losses incurred from credit defaults.  There are only two grades higher which are :extremely strong, and very strong.  Any ratings that are below the A's are indicative and typically signal adequate, uncertain and vulnerable credit.
This very impressive score issued by Standard & Poor's based on Key Biscayne's diversity of economic base, citizens' median income, debt structure, tax rates, and growth potential.
According to the Village of Key Biscayne's Financial Advisor Jim Ward, "Standard & Poor's and Moody's are the toughest and biggest companies, so if you carry a top rating from either one, you don't need to look beyond that."  Having agreement from both of these companies furthers the professional notion that Key Biscayne is a top notch community in which to live and in which to invest.  Real Estate on Key Biscayne should only continue to increase in value as there are only so many islands in the world and fewer still that have the logistics of Key Biscayne in relation to the Miami International Airport, the Bahamas, Central and South America, and of course the Florida Keys.  Financial strength combined with beautiful year round weather, first class amenities, world class tennis and golf on the island, two of the top ten of the world's beaches located on Key Biscayne will only serve to continue to attract those that appreciate the finest things in life.

A full moon rising over the Atlantic Ocean with a firm and smooth ocean breeze is still free.  To see it from your property is a timeless and priceless experience that continues to attract the attention of people from all over the world desiring to call Key Biscayne home.

Standard & Poor's also took into account the history of the Village of Key Biscayne's finances, real estate values, new developments such as the Ritz- Carlton of Key Biscayne, Grand Bay, The Ocean Club, and the land that is available for construction.
Ward continues " After looking at the rest of South Florida and realizing that there is not much waterfront property left, and only one inhabitable island... that is a very strong indicator of potential growth of real estate values on the Key, but most of all, it tells the residents of Key Biscayne that their municipality is very well managed both financially, and at a legislative level, giving them a very strong outlook on the future of the Village of Key Biscayne."
