Hurricane Frances was located about 150
miles north - northeast of Key Biscayne
when this photo was taken. These
two boats are believed to be part of the
Club Nautica Fleet.
The following morning, the bands of Hurricane
Frances had worked through
the night and were about to get worse
when this picture was taken. The
eye of Hurricane Frances was located nearly
125 miles north yet the winds
continued to stay between 30 - 65 mph.
There were plenty of gusts that
were of Hurricane Force (winds of 74 mph
or more) throughout the day.
