Chabad advertises
as "The Chabad of Key Biscayne and South Brickell"
Key Biscayne's countdown to
madness (Now showing!)
(Key Biscayne Chabad
advertises to "serve Jewish Community of Brickell")
Written by: Ponce

Recycling anti-Semitic ramblings is so
last century but it has everything to do with the idea of if you
are going to skate, "Skate Postal".
For everyone out of the loop, if you go postal, you go out of your mind,
go crazy, go nuts, over the top.
Enter the countdown to madness....
March 15 is tomorrow night.
Village Council....Skate
Postal!
That means there will be a 2nd read of
Rabbi Caroline's proposal to allow his
Jewish Education Center to be located
in a residential neighborhood, as in, on the corner of Harbor Drive and
Fernwood Road. This is the equivalent
of 'zoning postal' if you will.
This residential (RESIDENTIAL) address
is a very busy intersection and it does not need more traffic. Worse
than that, Key Biscayne
does not need to bend and change its rules
and zoning code for every idea that comes over the causeway. This
Chabad of Key Biscayne
advertises on its website that it is The
"Chabad of Key Biscayne and South Brickell"...This does NOT sound like
it is going to stay small!!!
Commercial Property on a
Key Biscayne Building - Home of our Post Office and our crack team of zoning
enforcement experts.
Imagine the zoning required
to allow this sign. Now think Chabad. Now think Homeland Security.
Chilling isn't it?
One must have just fallen off of the cabbage
wagon to believe that if this institution of advanced applied political
science,
(referring to our council) allows the
zoning to be changed on Harbor to allow this Chabad, that property values
are not
going to fall through the floor.
Here is the reasoning for everyone reading this in Palm Beach County (butterfly
ballot).
IF our zoning code for residential (our
most sacred address....HOME) can be tossed to accommodate an institution,
what is next? A Go Cart Track?
A Santeria church offering live sacrifices? Anyone still want to
live next door?
Rabbi's obvious and potentially Fatal mistake..that is if we have a Council who will protect our laws.
Rabbi just took an advertisement out in
the 2005 Lions Club Key Biscayne Phone Directory.
"Serving the Jewish Community of Key
Biscayne and Brickell"
The quotes are there for a reason because
that is verbatim. He is advertising as a service to those who live
on
Brickell when there is a massive temple
right there off the Key, and has paraded one friend of Abraham after
the next up there to say that they need
a place to worship on the island. At the same time, he is asking
people
to drive onto the island to worship.
Wait...It gets better. Here is a list of the services that he is
advertising.
(All according to his advertisement)
Adult Education
Jewish Women's Circle
Jewish Learning Institute
Lecture Series
Family Holiday Programs
Hebrew School
Torah Kids in Action
Shabbat Services
Hospital Visitation
You have got to love this guy's nerve.
He and all of his toadies on the council are assuring all freaked out Key
Biscayne
residents that there will be no traffic
problem, no precedent set, and it is a small little congregation of 25
people or so.
Yeah, maybe now it is, but with a budget
that is affording the legal expertise of Greenberg Taurig, and a nice half
page
(black and white is a better deal doncha
know) ad in the phone book telling the people of Brickell that they have
a choice
now.....who knows what the attendance
will be. The council is considering an imaginary piece of string
and its potential length.
There are hundreds of Key Biscayne residents
just furious over this councils decision. Here
is a blog address. Click here.
This is a disaster that it has made it
to the second read.
If it is not killed in the second read,
this Key is going to be a free for all with every council being knowing
that they did
NOTHING to protect our way of life out
here.
Skate Postal.
Hey zoning....how about crawling out of
your Ivory Tower and getting some compliance so that our Federal friends
can have a decent looking store front.
My gosh. What do those people do all day anywise beside design regulation
brochures?
Council...... Skate Postal. Vote No.
Alan Fein said that you could and it would
be no problem. He was talking of course about if others followed
suit and tried to
get a variance and cited this as a precedent.
Just say NO now. In the meantime, do something about our post office
sign.
Speaking of trash....What
ever happened to our dumpster?
Our freedom of dumping has
been removed without a whisper. Now we can't clean our yards
whenever we want and remove
the trash immediately. Further proof that the Village could not manage
a simple community dump.
They don't like it...It disappears. Take note. View
the historical footage here.
