A typical summer day with a typical summer
tropical storm turning into a typical hurricane that made landfall miles
and
miles north of Key Biscayne, and then,
in typical form, moved down to say hello to all of us here on Key Biscayne.
This sailboat, registered in New Jersey,
like the mystery of the whales beaching themselves, decides to beach
itself... Just a few hundred yards to
the west of the Miami Seaquarium. Hurricane Katrina was the storm
that really
very few were predicting would amount
to much out here. Wrong. This big storm powered winds over
80 mph
with dumping over 10 inches of rain had
its way with more than one watercraft.
