 Postcards from Key Biscayne

This postcard from Key Biscayne's "Isleaway" is dated Nov. 16, 1958
and the "Isleaway" was located at 101 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne,
Miami, Florida,49. (The zipcode was 49)
The postmark reads "Seclusion without Remoteness" and the text reads
"Isleaway, situated amidst the tropical beauty and tranquility of the country's oldest coconut plantation, is just a 15 minute drive from the glamour and excitement of Miami via the new Rickenbacker Causeway.  Isleaway has its own private ocean bathing beach just a few nimutes walk from the motel.".
The Crandon Palms Motel.  Located nearly directly accross the street from the Isleaway (notice the pool at the Isleaway that is surrounded by a little pond?) also has an elevated pool located in the center of the rooms.  Key Biscayne is just 3 feet above sealevel and there was no drainage back in the days that these postcards were made other than to wait for the water to dry.
Shuffleboard was a big time sport back then and although you cannot see it in this picture on the Internet, the dead palm tree in the center of the picture has 2 flood lights on it for night time play. Notice the spectators? hah.
