Flying through the air with the greatest of ease......
For those days that it is not perfectly
beautiful for taking the fishing boat 20 miles offshore to hunt down
some game fish, or take friends to tour
some of the isolated Keys that are not accessible by land, the wind
is blowing and the sailboats, windsurfers,
and kitesurfers skim along the water at high speeds.
In other words, if it is not perfect weather
for pleasure boating, it is perfect weather for sailing.
No matter what shape your sail is.
This particular 'sail' is in the shape
of a kite that is in turn harnessed to a man doing some after work
kitesurfing off of the Virginia Key Beach
on his way home to Key Biscayne. Plenty of professionals that
work in downtown Miami or in the banking
district of Brickell Avenue keep their boards and kites in the
truck of their vehicle. Just in
case.
Today it paid off. Perfect winds
and perfect weather. Kitesurfers were out well until after the sun
set.
Somebody's gotta do it.
