FAQS
Q. I want to get married on the beach.
What should I do and who should I call?
A. You need to reserve the area and the
date of the event. Each beach park has different regulations and
requirements. To find out what the rules
are and if your date
is available, you need to call one of the following numbers. Crandon
Park Beach Administration - 305 361 5421. To call
the offices at Cape
Florida Beach - 305 361 5811.
Q. Which beach is better for a wedding
or a large party?
A. It depends on what you want.
Crandon
Park has a nicer, larger beach and has built a large deck above the
tree line in the Northern end of the
park. Beautiful
location for pictures (especially at evening since the light diffuses off
of the sand to create fantastic pictures of people without
shadows all over their
faces!!). The only 'permanent structures' at Crandon
are simply cement box like BBQ shelters about 20 feet by 20 feet.
Cape
Florida has the lighthouse which makes a wonderful backdrop for photos
and there are two seperate resturants that may be reserved for
your special function.
The beach is not as wide or as nice as Crandon
and depending on the time of year, mosquitos can be an issue at Cape
Florida during the
warmer months of the year.
Q. May I bring my pet to the beach on
Key Biscayne?
A. No. No beach on Key Biscayne
allows pets on the beach. There is a beach along the Rickenbacker
Causeway on Virginia Key (on the way to
Key Biscayne) that
allows people to bring their pets to the beach and run in the water etc...
Q. I want to reserve a Tee time at The
Links of Key Biscayne. How do I do it?
A. Click
here and go to the 'reserve a tee time' section and off you go.
